Hope you find your cat. Good Luck Anita.
Cinnamon looks beautiful Anita. I really hope you find her. I'm sending positive vibes your way. Please keep us updated as to any progress.
So glad your mom's 2nd leg is continuing to heal, albeit slowly Crystal. No need to thank me for reading your blogs, I enjoy to. 😀 Despite being very nervous at the show last Saturday, Dewey did win a 1st in his breed class, and a best of breed (which meant he was the best ragdoll bi-colour kitten entered). There was only him in his class though, and he was the only bi-colour kitten entered! Although if the judge didn't think he met his breed standard, she could have withheld either or both awards. Onni did well too, he came away with a reserve grand master cat awarded. This is great, as most cats in his class have much more experience than he does. We only go to shows within 1.5hrs drive, so don't get to many. He's had some wonderful comments from judges, we're so proud of him. 😀❤️ Photos from latest show attached.
Take care ladies.
Rose, I think your blog is a good example of a good blog as is Anita's. Also for good examples, I used Katzenworld and the Joyful Soul Creates. I hope at least one of my blogs is in your pile for reposting of blogs you like. I won a catnip apple mat, book, and catnip toy and just loves it. She was all over the envelope it came in. I haven't seen play with catnip in years. Good Luck With Your Posts.>"<🙂🙂 >"<
Thanks Crystal, that's very kind of you to say you think mine is a good blog. I've only just discovered The joyful soul blogs (through your blog) but would agree with your other choices for examples of a good blog. Of course I've reposted from your blogs. Both I think. 😀 So pleased Daisy Mae is enjoying her catnip toy. I've found with my cats the quality of the catnip is important to them. If someone gets them a toy with cheap catnip in it, they won't bother with it. But they love a good quality catnip toy. They'll rub on it, roll on it, bite it, throw it in the air, kick it and generally have a great time with it. You should see Si and I if we're looking at catnip toys in a shop - we go smelling them to see how good it is! Lol! We must look like a right crazy pair! 😂 Must be lovely for you to see her playing with the toy - do you think you could get any photos? Si always takes my mum grocery shopping since my dad passed away, as she doesn't drive. She sent a paper bag down today (not many shops have paper bags here, most give plastic bags and then only for a charge), because the cats love to play in them. I snip the handles so they can't get stuck in them, then put the open bag on the floor. Managed to get photos of 2 of the cats in it .......
Good Morning Ladies~
Sorry, I gotta play catch up with the comments again as I rarely have time over the weekend to check up on the forum. I did put in my 2 week notice with the pet food job, so my last day will be 9/24. The 3rd job I got at Target has asked if I wanted to cross train in different areas of the store to help me get more hours, and we have decided for me to work at the Starbucks located inside Target since I have close to 8 years experience there. It is a much closer drive for me and a lot less stressful of a commute - 1 mile to Target versus 15 miles to the Petsmart (one way). I'd be losing out on $4.50 an hour but, all that money goes to gas anyways lol.
Update on Cinnamon - unfortunately, it wasn't her. I called the guy who saw a lost cat similar to Cinnamon, and her owner and I went to the park to wait to see if it was her. The cat looked much fluffier and matted, and I didn't think it was her. Her owner insisted so he took the cat to the vet the next morning, only to find out that it was a male cat named Cleo who had been missing for 3 weeks. He returned him to his owners, who were very happy to have him back. Cleo was so sweet though, he wouldn't stop meowing and purring when he saw me, but I'm glad we were able to help another family find their lost cat 🙂
Crystal: You are more than welcome to reference either one of my blogs (Cats and Life, Dear Anita/Dear Cassie). I haven't been posting blogs lately due to my super super busy schedule, but I will soon! Glad you are enjoying the blogs though 🙂 How's the progress on your mom's other leg, has it been healing more since the last we spoke? 🙂 Daisy Mae looks super adorable admiring her new cat mat! Aww thanks for sharing cutie photos of her ~ <3
Rose: I hope Dewey will warm up to going to cat shows with you and Si! So glad that both he and Onni won an award! Josh and I had been talking about trying to get our kitties to do some cat modeling hahahhaha and be featured on different cat products. But, I think it is a lot harder than it seems. Your little babies look so cute playing in the paper bags! Hehe. We don't have many paper bags at home, but the girls love playing in the plastic ones. They're funny with the bags - they slide across the living room with it and since it glides over so easily due to it being lightweight, they will end up trying to attack it haha.
Oh yeah! I followed up with Marc over the weekend and he said my parcel is packed and ready to go! S'mores and Oreo are both very excited and eager to receive their goodies! Hehe. He also told me that I won a copy of The Trainable Cat book too, and that there were 3 winners for that giveaway - I wonder who the 3rd winner was 🙂 Hehe so happy and so looking forward to reading that book!
Take Care ladies!!!
Crystal, sorry, I should have said which cats were in the photos. Dewey and Pepper were the cats I managed to photograph in the bag. Dewey is in the top photo. He's 8 months old on 23rd this month, and is a blue bi-colour Ragdoll. Pepper is in the bottom photo. She's around 3yrs & 4 mths. She's a chocolate tortie moggie (non-pedigree) who we adopted from a local shelter. Thanks for the photos of Daisy Mae, she looks really happy with her mat. 😀
Anita - so glad to hear from you! Was worried in case you were affected by the hurricane. So sorry that you didn't find Cinnamon. Hopefully someday soon somebody will repay the favour of you returning the cat you found to it's owner, by returning Cinnamon to you. So pleased that you've won a book too! That's fantastic 😀 Mine arrived on Friday, although I've only managed to have a quick flick through. It's thicker than I expected, and looks full of info. I think we'll both enjoy it. Just a shame Crystal didn't win the third, that would be perfect. I can understand you giving up your pet food job, with the differences in travel. I hope you enjoy your extra hours at Target. We don't have Target here.
Take care ladies.
No problem about the names of the cats. Pictures were cute. Daisy Mae does like her mat. I turn it over every 2 or 3 days to freshen the catnip. So far it's working. Well Ladies sorry I couldn't be the 3rd winner. Who did win the 3rd book? Congrats to both of you on winning the book. Closest Target near me is 20+ miles away. My blogging course is done-yeah!!
